CORE 24 Implementation Task Force Final Report
Posted on Friday, May 07 @ 15:03:38 MDT by rick

For All WSTA friends,

The CORE 24 Implementation Task Force has completed its work. You can find the final report of the recommendations of the Task Force to the
State Board of Education on the State Board website at
http://www.sbe.wa.gov/documents/Core%2024%20ITF%20Final%20Rpt%20April%202
010.pdf
.

The report  and recommendations will be formally submitted to the State
Board at its May 13-14 meeting to be held in Spokane. The State Board of Education will make the final decision as to how the requirements of CORE 24 will be implemented.

I have appreciated the feedback I have received from the Washington
Science Teachers Association, the Washington State PTA and the Washington State School Directors' Association throughout the course of this Task Force. Your comments and survey responses have enabled me to accurately reflect your point of view and your concerns to the Task Force, I believe.

Thank you.

Karen Madsen
