EVO 101: "Hands on Evolution for K-12 Educators"

This all day workshop will be held June 25 at the Portland Convention Center.  It is sponsored by the Society for the Study of Evolution, and workshop participants are invited to attend the Evolution 2010 conference - the annual meeting of members of the Society for the Study of Evolution, the American Society of Naturalists and the Society of Systematic Biologists.  Cost is $25 which includes lunch.

 

The workshop includes presentations by researchers, hands on activities for grades K-16 and discussions about teaching evolution.  Friday evening, participants may attend a lecture by Sean Carroll (http://www.molbio.wisc.edu/carroll/), researcher, educator, and author of several popular books on evolution.  Participants are also welcome to attend the scientific presentations at the conference, June 25-29.
