Statement (100 words or less):

The voices of today’s teachers of science need to be heard as the state and nation move to new national science and engineering standards and assessments. Science teachers’ concern for students may not be the impetus for all the changes we are experiencing. WSTA can mitigate these changes by representing today’s teachers and providing professional development activities to ease the necessary transitions. I am well prepared to represent today’s teachers and help lead WSTA to improve science education for all our students.

Science Circus

Treat your students to a "Rah Rah Science" show enjoyed by the AAPT, American Physical Society, Intel Science Fair and others.

Often compared to a Pixar movie, Science Circus blends mature science with kid savvy comedy to create a show the
Smithsonian Institution called, “wonderful” and teachers often deem "The best assembly we've ever had."
