Join DeeDee Okamoto, Instructional Designer for the EarthScope Consortium, to explore how scientists use high-precision GPS data to study ground deformation along the U.S. West Coast - including the Cascadia Subduction Zone - and engage students in real-world seismic hazard analysis.
This session is built around the ShakeAlert® Earthquake Early Warning system and features three flexible, classroom-ready lessons developed by EarthScope (operator of the NSF GAGE and SAGE facilities). Each lesson includes:
